On the 21th February 2017, IKP held a discussion with Tabung Haji Plantation Bhd. (THP). THP was represented by Mr. Pilus Muhammad Zambri, the General Manager of Agronomy and Innovation together with Mr Syed Mohd Faizal Syed Ali. Meanwhile IKP was represented by Prof. Datin Dr Siti Nor Akmar Abdullah (Director), Prof. Prof. Dr. Zulkefly Sulaiman, Prof. Prof. Dr. Amin Mahir Abdullah, Dr. Melissa Muharam and Mr. Farrah. Faiz Mohammed Zakaria.

The objective of the discussion was to find opportunities for cooperation that can be carried out to strengthen the plantation industry. THP informed that assistance can be offered to IKP in the form of plantation plot for IKP to carry out field test which does not involve financial input and not affecting THP operational activities. At the end of the talk, the two sides agreed that MOU should be prepared in accordance with the specific project requirements.

The discussion ended with the exchange of souvenirs between both parties.
