IKP hosted a visit by Prof. Jeremy Roberts from University of Nottingham and Assoc. Prof. Carol Wagstaff from University of Reading, UK on the 24th of October, 2016. A meeting was held to discuss on three areas of collaboration between these universities with IKP. It was agreed that IKP will jointly organized the International Conference on Crop Improvement (ICCI 2017) led by University of Reading to be held in November 2017 in University of Reading, Malaysia Campus, Johor Bahru. The discussion also centred on accomplishment of a book to be published by Springer, an International Publisher. The editors of the book which will be published in September 2017 are Prof. Datin Dr. Siti Nor Akmar Abdullah and Prof. Dr. Ho Chai Ling, both from IKP, UPM and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Carol Wagstaff as the third editor from University of Reading, UK. Finally a draft proposal for application of the Newton grant was presented by Dr. Noor Azmi Shaharuddin from IKP. Constructive comments given during the meeting will be used to improve the proposal for final submission.
