KUALA LUMPUR, 5 June 2026 – The Institute of Plantation Studies (IKP) officially launched the Bulan Sinergi PUTRA 2026 activities with the IKP Roadshow in collaboration with FGV Holdings Berhad, held today at Wisma FGV. This initiative represents a proactive step by IKP to strengthen its network of strategic collaborations with key industry players, particularly within the plantation sector. The IKP delegation, comprising members of its top management, was led by the Director of IKP, Prof. Ts. Dr. Siti Khairunniza Bejo. The delegation was warmly received by the Group Director of FGV Holdings Berhad’s Plantation Division, Mr. Izham Mustaffa, together with FGV’s senior management team and research officers.

Throughout the programme, both parties exchanged expertise in research and development (R&D), while also discussing the latest developments in the plantation industry, which is increasingly driven by technological innovation. The discussions also focused on potential strategic collaborations in areas such as smart technologies, digitalisation, and sustainability practices that can enhance operational efficiency and strengthen the competitiveness of the national plantation sector. In addition, the interactive session provided a platform for direct exchange of ideas between IKP researchers and industry practitioners, further strengthening the synergy between academia and industry. Such collaborations are seen as crucial in accelerating technology transfer and empowering evidence-based solutions to address current challenges. This initiative reflects the continued commitment of IKP and FGV to support the sustainable development agenda of the national plantation sector through innovative, collaborative, and high-impact approaches.
