Deputy Director IKP Awarded Visiting Researcher Travel Grant in High Level Category at National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Indonesia

November 12 – YBhg. Prof. Dr. Wong Mui Yun, the Deputy Director of Institute Plantation Studies, Universiti Putra Malaysia was awarded a Visiting Research (VR) Travel Grant in a High-Level Category at the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Indonesia for the period of one month, 7th October to 6th November 2024. The VR program is a human resource capacity development program based on the mobility of researchers through collaborative research, development, assessment, and/or application of science and technology at BRIN, for professors or expert researchers from universities, research and development agencies, and/or industry overseas. YBhg. Prof. Dr. Wong Mui Yun has contributed by sharing knowledge and experience with the host researcher, Dr. Neo Endra Lelana, co-host, Dr. Nur Laili and the members of the Plant Protection Microbiome Research Group at the Research Center for Applied Microbiology. She has also delivered two impactful webinars entitled “Molecular Approaches for Developing Sustainable Plant Disease Management” and “Strategies for Successful Publications in High Reputation Journals”. A Project Agreement and Term of Reference (TOR) were finalized between Research Center for Applied Microbiology, BRIN and Institute of Plantation Studies, UPM related to innovative disease management of Fusarium wilt of banana.
