SERDANG, 4 December - The Institute of Plantation Studies has marked another milestone by organizing a Hooding Ceremony, a symbolic event to celebrate the success of students completing their postgraduate and doctoral studies. This meaningful occasion honored Dr. Siti Saripa Rabiah Mat Lazim, who successfully completed her PhD in Plantation Technology, as well as her supervisor, Associate Professor Dr. Nazmi Mat Nawi, for his outstanding guidance throughout her academic journey.

The Hooding Ceremony is not merely a tradition, but a representation of shared achievement between students and supervisors after a long journey in research. The event was attended by the Institute’s top management, academic and non-academic staff, postgraduate students, and close family members who came to show their support.

Director’s Address in her welcoming speech, Institute Director, Prof. Ts Dr. Siti Khairunniza Bejo, expressed her pride, “I have known Dr. Siti Saripa since her first year as an undergraduate and witnessed her growth until she completed her doctoral studies. As a teacher, seeing the success of one’s student brings immense pride and emotion.
