SERDANG, 28 July 2026 - The Institute of Plantation Studies (IKP) has conducted the Second-Stage EKSA Assessment in conjunction with the HKIP 2025/2026, organized by the Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA). The assessment involved all IKP staff and aimed to evaluate the level of compliance with EKSA implementation at IKP. The program assessors, Pn. Zainor Mazwin Zainal from HSAAS and En. Khairul Azmi Za'ba from UCTC, evaluated the implementation of EKSA at IKP and found that the level of EKSA implementation at IKP was good and met the assessment requirements. However, several improvement suggestions were made, including standardization of signage and room labeling, improvement of cabinet and storage room arrangement and labeling, updating of staff presence charts and EKSA information display, improvement of cleanliness, tidiness, and corporate identity at several locations, and maintenance of facilities as well as strengthening of safety and user convenience elements.
The assessment aimed to ensure that the office, laboratory, and facility environment is clean, tidy, safe, and conducive, as well as to identify areas and opportunities for improvement to enhance the quality of the work environment. Additionally, the assessment aimed to strengthen the culture of excellence, innovation, and green practices, as well as to enhance the corporate image and quality of service delivery by IKP. All feedback and recommendations from the evaluation panel will be carefully reviewed by IKP, and appropriate follow-up actions will be implemented as part of its Continuous Improvement efforts to further enhance EKSA assessment performance and create a more conducive and professional workplace environment. In line with this commitment, IKP will continue to strengthen the quality of its work environment and ensure that all IKP personnel can work in a safe, healthy, and productive setting.
