SERDANG, 26 September – The Institute of Plantation Studies (IKP), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), was selected to undergo the Surveillance Audit Review 1 for the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS), conducted by SIRIM auditor Dr. Montaj Mustakim. The audit sessions were held across selected Responsibility Centres (PTJ) throughout UPM from 22 to 26 September 2025.

This audit was carried out to assess the extent to which IKP’s quality management system complies with ISO 9001:2015 standards, evaluate its implementation effectiveness, and identify areas for improvement to strengthen a culture of continuous excellence. The audit at IKP focused on the scope of teaching and learning, research, and operational support, particularly in evaluating the achievement of KPIs for the years 2024 and 2025.

The opening and closing sessions of the audit at IKP were attended by YBhg. Prof. Ts. Dr. Siti Khairunniza Bejo, Director of IKP, along with YBhg. Prof. Dr. Wong Mui Yun, Deputy Director of IKP, and IKP staff members.
