Laboratory of Sustainable Agronomy & Crop Protection

Laboratory of Sustainable Agronomy & Crop Protection is established to support government policies such as National Agro-Food Policy and National Commodity Policy. Research and development program is aimed at increasing the productivity and competitiveness of the national plantation sector for the purpose of strengthening and expending the existing market up to international level, making UPM as one of the centre of excellence in research and development of plantation management technology and finally further developing plantation sector in a sustainable manner.

Combination of various field of study and expertise in the laboratory is able to produce and enhance the quality of the country’s workforce at the MS and PhD levels. IKP graduates are able to further accelerate the process of transitioning from conventional agricultural and agro-based sector to a modern, dynamic and viable along the supply-chain and development of the agricultural sector.
