KUALA LUMPUR CRAFT COMPLEX



The Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex is an iconic art tourism destination located in the heart of the city. This one-stop craft centre offers a myriad of tourism products such as arts and crafts for local and foreign visitors. The complex is characterised by a Malay Terengganu architectural design, and is a treasury for traditional and modern contemporary products from all parts of the country.

Featuring a panoramic view of the countryside with a Malaysian-themed landscape has distinguished the building from other prestigious shopping malls around Kuala Lumpur. It is developed based on four concepts which include education, marketing enculturation and accommodation. Visiting the Craft Complex is like exploring the lifestyle of Malaysian society known for its impressive art craft handed down for generations.

 

MALAYSIAN AUTHENTIC CRAFT
The Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex offers a variety of authentic products as souvenirs, interior decoration, costume jewellery, fashion trends and textile, home and garden decoration ass well as for daily use. The unique souvenirs are available for purchase at the Karyaneka Gift Shop. Meanwhile, the Karyaneka Corporate Shop offers a selection of silver, copper, pewter, wood and crystal souvenirs. Fans of heritage fashion can also find a bedazzling collection of textiles such as batik, woven fabric and hand-woven songket in the Karyaneka Craft Boutique.

 

CRAFT MUSEUM
The Craft Museum disseminates information on the civilisation of arts and crafts through exhibitions of ancient artifacts. In addition, it also displays technological evolution of producing craft products and its manufacturing process. The diorama-themed exhibition is part of the museum’s conservation and documentation initiatives and presented as an element of knowledge for today’s generation. Visitors have an opportunity to explore the local craft products through its uniqueness, motif displayed, materials used and manufacturing process as well as its functions. The museum is a source of knowledge and enlightenment for visitors to learn and appreciate the history of a civilisation.

PUTRAJAYA



Putrajaya is a city in Malaysia, south of Kuala Lumpur. It’s known for its late-20th-century architecture including the Putra Mosque, made from rose-colored granite with a pink dome. Nearby is the immense, green-domed Perdana Putra, which contains the prime minister’s office complex. The 3-tiered Putra Bridge is inspired by Iranian architecture, with 4 minaret-type piers overlooking the man-made Putrajaya Lake.
