The Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM) recently honoured 22 scientists as 2021 Top Research Scientists Malaysia (TRSM), and one of the recipients is Prof. Ir. Dr. Wan Azlina Wan Ab Karim Ghani. She is currently a Research Associate at the Laboratory of Processing and Product Development, Institute of Plantation Studies. The recognition awarded is based on her contribution and expertise as an advisor in the National STIE (science, technology, innovation, and economy) committee.

Prof. Ir. Dr. Wan Azlina’s contribution focuses on biomass as a renewable alternative energy, and she is actively involved in developing a national standard for biomass utilization as a solid fuel. Her achievement is inspiring to all IKP and UPM researchers. Congratulations Prof. Ir. Dr. Wan Azlina!
