August 15, 2024 – YBhg. Prof. Dr. Wong Mui Yun, the Deputy Director of Institute Plantation Studies, Universiti Putra Malaysia has visited Jendarata Estate of United Plantations Berhad (UPB) in Teluk Intan, Perak together with Dr. Go Wen Ze (postdoctoral researcher) and Zal Khan Abdullah (PhD candidate) for sample collection of banana infected with Fusarium disease. YBhg. Prof. Wong also had a good discussion with Mr. Ho Shui Hing, Head of Research Division and Mr. Wong Foo Hin, Head of Tissue Culture Laboratory regarding student internship and research collaborations in oil palm.
