SERDANG, August 30^th - The Institute of Plantation Studies (IKP) with the Institute of Plantation Studies Postgraduate Students Club (IKPPGSC) successfully organized the IKP Semarak Merdeka Fun Run 2024 in conjunction with the 67^th Independence Day Celebration. The objectives of the event are to instil the spirit of patriotism among IKP staff and students and to strengthen the bond among IKP members while practising a healthy lifestyle.

In conjunction with this program, IKP Director, Prof. Ts. Dr. Siti Khairunniza Bejo has launched the IKP Postgraduate Students Club (IKPPGSC). She said, "The involvement of postgraduate students and staff of IKP in the same program can build up the team spirit and respect for each other in achieving excellence at IKP".

The run was flagged off by the Advisor of IKP Semarak Merdeka Fun Run 2024 and IKP Deputy Director, Prof. Dr. Wong Mui Yun. This fun run was joined by more than 30 participants and the event ended at 11.30 am. Hopefully, this program achieves its objective of fostering patriotic spirit, unity and noble values ​​as well as strengthening the bonds between IKP staff and postgraduate students.
