MONTPELLIER, FRANCE, 3-7 June – Dr. Anas Mohd Mustafah and Assoc Prof. Dr. Nazmi Mat Nawi from the Laboratory of Plantation System Technology & Mechanization, Institute of Plantation Studies (IKP)  had just completed their 5 days mobility program at L’Institut Agro Montpellier.

L’Institut Agro Montpellier is a special institute of higher education that produces postgraduate students (MSc and PhD) and agricultural engineers. Among the activities during the mobility program was meeting with lecturers and staff of L’Institut Agro Montpellier regarding the postgraduate program the Datamanager dan AgroTIC program. Other than that, sharing on Chaire AgroTIC dan Mas Numérique showed the earnestness and closeness between the academic institute and agricultural community as well as industries in giving the best education to the students while pushing the industry forward with the latest technology usage in agriculture.

Other than academic institute, they also had the opportunity to visit research institutions such as Agropolis, CIRAD, Arcad and ITAP. These visits are focused towards building research networking and sharing research best practices in the field of automation, phenotyping, imaging, and spectrometer.

Through this mobility program, it is hoped that an effective network can be built with the staff and researchers from L’Institut Agro Montpellier and the other research institutions in Montpellier both in teaching and research in the future.
