SERDANG, February 27^th  – Delegates from Yangzhou University (YZU), China visited Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) from 27^th – 29^th February 2024 consisting of Professor Dr. Liu Qiaoquan (Vice President, YZU), Professor Dr. Yang Zefeng (Dean, College of Agriculture, YZU), Professor Dr. Li Qianfeng, Professor Dr. Zhang Changquan and Professor Dr. Zhang Lin.

Institute of Plantation Studies (IKP) participated in the half-day seminar where researchers from both UPM and YZU shared their research findings as well as a discussion session on potential collaborations in academics and research.

The delegates also paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International), YBhg. Prof. Dr. Ismi Arif Ismail. To welcome the delegates, IKP hosted a dinner at Kelab Tasik Putrajaya on 27^th February 2024. An immediate impact of the visit sees both parties (IKP and YZU) agreeing to collaborate on student and staff mobility programs followed by a joint laboratory initiative.
