February, 24 – An official visit by YBhg. Prof. Emeritus Dr. Ibrahim Komoo, Chairman, University Board of Directors (LPU), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) to Institute of Plantation Studies (IKP), UPM was conducted on February 2023. YBhg. Prof. Emeritus Dr. Ibrahim Komoo was welcomed by the Director of IKP, YBhg. Prof. Dr. Shaufique Fahmi Ahmad Sidique, top management members and IKP staff. The session was started with an explanation of the background of IKP by the director, then was followed by a visit to the laboratories and the transgenic greenhouse.

Through this official visit session, YBhg. Prof. Emeritus Dr. Ibrahim Komoo shared his views on the importance of collaboration between the institute and industry as well as other government agencies. He emphasized that beneficial collaboration can be achieved by building trust and developing partnerships in exploring collaboration opportunities that complement the research needs of each other.
